Great to have been invited to various tea ceremonies! It’s a joy and privilege to experience this OIJ tradition. I planned to have it part of my golden birthday celebration and glad it really happened where my family, students and friends enjoyed this local culture and we even wore the kimono!

I hosted some foreigners in Japan and I brought them to places where they can experience this unique Japanese drinking ceremony. The taste of the tea may not suit them but the presentation and skill of the host really impressed them.
